Almost Solved True Crime Support
Last updated: July 14, 2026
Getting started
Almost Solved is a private workspace for organizing true crime research.
- Open the Research Desk.
- Choose a missing-person file, serial-killer profile, case, or location.
- Follow the timeline and choose one source to check.
- Return to Almost Solved before opening another outside source.
- Add the useful link and your own note to the Research File.
Research Files
Research Files keep your saved links, notes, dates, and case context together. Almost Solved does not automatically treat user-supplied information as fact.
Outside sources
Websites, blogs, news pages, public records, and confirmed sources open outside Almost Solved. Podcast episodes open in Apple Podcasts.
Almost Solved saves useful links, source details, timestamps, and your own notes. It does not host third-party articles, podcast transcripts, social media posts, or podcast audio.
Find It Again
For the clearest source trail:
- Open one outside source from Almost Solved.
- Check the source.
- Return to Almost Solved.
- Add the link or your own note when useful.
- Continue to the next source.
If you continue browsing outside the app without returning first, Almost Solved may not be able to preserve the later steps.
Troubleshooting
If a link does not open:
- Check your internet connection.
- Try opening the source again.
- Confirm that Safari or Apple Podcasts is available.
- The publisher may have moved or removed the original page or episode.
If saved work does not appear:
- Return to the correct Research File.
- Check Recent Activity and Notes.
- Confirm that you returned to Almost Solved after checking the outside source.
Privacy
Almost Solved does not require an account for its core research workflow. Your Research Files and notes are intended for your private research.
