Almost Solved helps you find an outside source, open the original, and return to the same private Research File with the useful link and your own note.
Start with the four destinations
- Podcast Episodes finds episode coverage and opens the original in Apple Podcasts.
- Sources finds Blogs & Writeups, News, Websites, and Confirmed Sources, then opens the original page in Safari.
- Research Files keeps the links, search context, timestamps, timelines, maps, and notes you choose to save.
- Search groups matching episode, source, case, person, and Research File results when Full Access is active.
Follow one outside source trip at a time
- Choose a starting file or search the full catalog.
- Find One Source.
- Open the original in Apple Podcasts or Safari.
- Return to Almost Solved before opening another outside source.
- Use Find It Again and add your own note when useful.
Almost Solved records the link it opens and the Research File it came from when on-device saving is enabled. It cannot see later browsing inside Safari or Apple Podcasts. Share or paste a later exact URL only when you want to keep it.
Free access and Full Access
Without Full Access, your selected location, missing person, and serial-killer profile remain available with their saved work. An active Apple trial, paid subscription, canceled-but-unexpired subscription, or Apple-authorized grace period receives complete Full Access.
Eligible new subscribers can choose 3-Month Full Access and try it for $0 for 7 days. Unless canceled, Apple renews it at the price displayed in the App Store every three months.
Manage or restore
Open Almost Solved Settings to see the StoreKit-verified plan status, renewal or expiration date, Manage Subscription, and Restore Purchases. Apple controls eligibility, billing, cancellation, plan switching, and refunds.
